Thanksgiving

Another Thanksgiving, another round of dog sitting. We're hanging out with this little monster and watching streaming services we don't subscribe to ourselves. Brian's tastebuds are back to about 40% and he's been eating thanksgiving dinner with me since Tuesday. I even had to share the pies! I don't think he's getting the full enjoyment from it, but it's a big step. Still supplementing his diet with Ensure, but solids are in the mix. There are about three more appointments and some tests before the end of the year, but (all fingers and toes crossed) it looks like he is now cancer clear. He'll need quarterly check ups for the next two years, then annual for three after that. There are lingering effects (funny hair patterns, crackly hearing, dry mouth, tachycardia) but we're hopeful those too will pass.

Lots to be thankful for this year.
