Not Quite as Thankful as we Were

So when we designed our holiday card we were going with a thanksgiving theme that seemed appropriate at the time. We pressed send the weekend before the election because we are leaving for France in a few weeks and wanted to check this item off of our to do list. Seemed like a good idea since we have been tardy with our cards these last couple of years.

Whoops.

The day after the election Lucy said "I hope everyone doesn't think we are fascists now?"

No, we are not thankful for the election of the childish, petty orange man.

We are thankful for all of the generous people in our lives that allow us to take up some of their very important time here on earth. We are thankful we get to travel and spend time with far flung friends and relatives. We are immensely thankful for our continued health and well being.

While abroad we are not looking forward to answering the inevitable question of, "what is up with America and *rump? We had more questions about the con man these last couple of years than about anything else. The world doesn't understand how we have and continue to support such a transparent grifter.

I miss traveling when people were more intrigued by where we were from (Alaska) than the political situation in our country.
